Aleksandra Ławska

Aleksandra Ławska is a film programmer. Between 2019 and 2021, she worked as the programme coordinator, and in 2023, she took on the role of competition coordinator at the Short Waves Festival. From 2018 to 2022, she worked as a project coordinator at the Ad Arte Cultural Foundation in Poznań, co-organising cultural events, film screenings, and educational workshops. She has been a member of the preselection committees for the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montréal (FNC), the Glasgow Short Film Festival, and the Lago Film Fest, as well as Ale Kino! Festival, FILMFEST DRESDEN, and of the European Short Pitch script evaluation committee. As a curator of film programmes, she has collaborated with FeKK Ljubljana, Zachęta National Gallery of Art (“The Sun Rises Pale Over the Mountains”), Animocje Festival, and others. Throughout the year, she also collaborates with Cinema Muza in Poznań, Poland. Additionally, she works in film translation and subtitling. She has served as a jury member at festivals including Go Short Nijmegen, the Brussels Short Film Festival, and the Bucharest Experimental Film Festival (BIEFF).
