Loes van Keulen
Loes van Keulen participated in “Greatest” Short Films of All Time 2025, a first-ever poll of its kind as a collective love letter to the art of short-form moving image. yanco and Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, in collaboration with Talking Shorts, invited filmmakers, curators, distributors, critics, and scholars worldwide to nominate 10 audiovisual works under sixty minutes that they personally consider the “greatest” of all time. This was Loes van Keulen’s submission:

| Onno the Oblivious Onno de Onwetende | Viktor van der Valk | The Netherlands | 2014 | 29’ | ||
| Preoperational Model | Philip Ullman | The Netherlands | 2024 | 13’ | ||
So much detail goes into the bizarre, battered appearances of Philip Ullman’s characters that you can almost touch them. The result is both visceral and endearing, leaving an impression you’d perhaps rather forget, while also aptly questioning what it is that makes you feel that way. |

| The Black Tower | John Smith | United Kingdom | 1987 | 24’ | ||
| Wong Ping’s Fables 2 黃炳寓言 | Wong Ping | Hong Kong | 2019 | 13’ | ||
| You Can’t Get What You Want But You Can Get Me | Samira Elagoz , Z Walsh | The Netherlands, Finland | 2024 | 13’ | ||
A series of photos and screenshots tell the story of how Samira and Z fall madly in love with each other. We witness their first meeting, the start of a long-distance relationship, the family introductions, Z’s top surgery – their milestones recorded in a disarmingly intimate and unforgettably moving way. |
