Kyle Turner

Kyle Turner is a queer writer based in Brooklyn, New York. His writing has been featured in W Magazine, The Village Voice, Slate, GQ, and covers theater for New York Theater Guide. He is also the author of The Queer Film Guide: 100 Films That Tell LGBTQIA+ Stories from Smith Street Books and Rizzoli. He is relieved to know that he is not a golem.

Kyle Turner participated in “Greatest” Short Films of All Time 2025, a first-ever poll of its kind as a collective love letter to the art of short-form moving image. yanco and Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, in collaboration with Talking Shorts, invited filmmakers, curators, distributors, critics, and scholars worldwide to nominate 10 audiovisual works under sixty minutes that they personally consider the “greatest” of all time.
