Flavio Armone graduated in Cinema Studies in his hometown, Torino (Italy). He started working in film festivals in 2004, and in 2015, he founded Lights On, an international sales agency. Lights On primarily focuses on the distribution of short films. The short films distributed by Lights On have premiered in some of the most prestigious festivals worldwide: Cannes Film Festival, Semaine de la Critique - Cannes, Sundance Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, Quinzaine des Réalisateurs - Cannes.

Flavio Armone participated in “Greatest” Short Films of All Time 2025, a first-ever poll of its kind as a collective love letter to the art of short-form moving image. yanco and Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, in collaboration with Talking Shorts, invited filmmakers, curators, distributors, critics, and scholars worldwide to nominate 10 audiovisual works under sixty minutes that they personally consider the “greatest” of all time.
