Nadine Mayer has been a member of the selection committee for the German Competition at the Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg for over 10 years, where she is responsible for film viewing, selection, programme curation, moderation, and leading the committee. She mentors the young selection committee (Gib Mir Fünf Neon) of the Mo & Friese Junges Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg and works as a film mediator and leads workshops at the Kurzfilm Schule Hamburg. For the SchulKinoWoche Hamburg, she curates and moderates short film programmes for young audiences.

Nadine Mayer participated in “Greatest” Short Films of All Time 2025, a first-ever poll of its kind as a collective love letter to the art of short-form moving image. yanco and Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, in collaboration with Talking Shorts, invited filmmakers, curators, distributors, critics, and scholars worldwide to nominate 10 audiovisual works under sixty minutes that they personally consider the “greatest” of all time.
